AI and music(ology)--Roundtable discussion, Tuesday, November 28th

The Greater New York Chapter of the American Musicological Society invites you to participate in a roundtable discussion on Artificial Intelligence and Music(ology).  Given the great deal of press that AI has been receiving lately, this is a timely topic to discuss.

As with other roundtables, the format is simple--each of the panelists will talk very briefly about their take on the topic, and then we will open the discussion to all in attendance.

At present, the following panelists have signed on:

Dr. Lawrence Ferrara, Director Emeritus, NYU Steinhardt

Mr. Adam Kaplan, Associate Director, Legal Legal, Trade & Government Affairs, Intel Corporation

Dr. Anthony O'Dwyer, Professor, Law School, TU Dublin

Dr. Jonathan Waxman, Associate Professor, Hofstra University

Dr. Reba Wissner, Assistant Professor, Columbus State University

The roundtable will take place on Tuesday, November 28th at 4 PM EST (note the time change from past roundtables).

All are invited.  Anyone with an interest in AI, music, or both (or neither) is invited to attend and participate.

We hope to see you there.
